The Simco-Ion IQ Platform (including IQ Easy and the new IQ SLC) brings full, connected control of static electricity to your machinery. From packaging lines to film converting and pharmaceuticals, IQ devices continuously measure, neutralise and log electrostatic charge so you can run faster, safer and with higher quality.

How It Works

  1. Sense – In-process charge sensors measure surface voltage on webs, sheets or components.
  2. Neutralise – High-performance ionising bars and nozzles deliver precise positive/negative ions.
  3. Manage – The touchscreen Manager/Control Station provides system-wide control, recipes and data logging.
  4. Optimise – Closed-loop feedback automatically tunes output to maintain balance within your chosen set points.

Core Components

Manager / Control Station

A 7” colour touchscreen gives a single view of system status, device outputs, currents and any alarms. Configure balance modes (Fixed, Manual, Auto-Tune or Closed-Loop), set targets and log performance for traceability and continuous improvement.

Ionising Bars (examples)

  • ThunderION IQ 2.0 – Long-range, high-performance neutralising bar for demanding applications.
  • VicinION IQ – Compact bar for close-range neutralisation (typically 5–75 mm from the material).
  • PerformaxIQ – Medium range for general purpose application

Sensors & Interfaces

Inline charge sensors and sensor interfaces feed live measurements to the Manager, enabling true closed-loop control and automatic optimisation.

IQ SLC

The IQ SLC (Simco Logic Controller) adds further flexibility to the IQ range, providing streamlined control options in a compact form factor – ideal for installations that require reliable monitoring and simplified integration.
